A beautiful set of 2 first-communion crosses in mother-of-pearl and solid silver. This type of cross was part of the education and religious journey of many people for nearly a hundred years.

Indeed, wearing this cross during the ceremony was essential. These pieces are particularly elaborate and were not intended for all levels of society. They were certainly designed in the workshop of a skilled jeweler, or even a master jeweler. Mother-of-pearl is delicate, and the crosses have rounded sections, which makes them difficult to produce.

The silver parts are very finely crafted and manually attached with silver rivets. The crosses end with ornate silver cabochons. Very beautiful pieces of silversmithing and religious art. Dimensions: 8 cm x 6 cm and 7 cm x 3.5 cm. Weight: 11 g and 8 g.
