Former Diademe Coral Silver Massive 1820-1850 Ancient Diadem Tiara Silver Gilded

  
Ancient vermeil tiara (golden solid silver with fine gold), magnificent red coral beads faceted from the Mediterranean. Seems to be antoine-adrien vautrin goldsmith at Paris 13 rue chapon, 1824. Rabbit head punch (punch in progress in 1819 or as early as 1819). Tiara in its original state to which had been added an ancient chain also in vermeil to wear it in necklace, clasp marked 925.

The chain can be removed. Beautiful tiara steeped in history, 200 years of age env. Which can be worn as a tiara or a necklace.

Length: 15 cm - width: 2.8 cm - total tiara-chain weight: 46.4 grams. Total length diademe/chain in necklace - 57 cm (can be shortened clasp on chain). Comes from a private collection. The tiara is in good condition, 4 rows of pearls, missing 1 pearl at the end of the row. The coral beads are superb, well rounded, faceted, very little damaged by time, and the gold that covers the solid silver is in very good condition.
