Ancient Berber Silver Jewelry

  
This piece is a Berber headdress ornament. These rings were attached to the headdress at ear level. They were not worn on the ears because they were too heavy. This one was purchased from an antique dealer in Tunisia more than 40 years ago. Solid silver with no hallmark, as it is an old traditional handcrafted piece of jewelry. The measurements are shown in the photos. It can be worn as a bracelet for a slender wrist. I do not have a precision scale, but on my kitchen electronic scale it weighs 53 g. It is a beautiful piece of jewelry, aged and patinated by time and its history. Photos taken in natural light, indoors and outdoors.
