Beautiful antique brooch made from a genuine British 1/2 Crown (Half Crown) coin from 1817. This historic coin from the reign of George III was transformed into a charming piece of jewelry (Love Token) in the 19th century.

Obverse side: Fully hand-engraved with an elegant intertwined “A” monogram surrounded by scrollwork, framed by a Greek key border (meander pattern).

Reverse side: Retains the original portrait of George III with the date clearly visible: 1817.

Inscription: “GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA”.
Clasp: Antique pin with C-hook, functional.
Condition: Very good condition for an item over 200 years old. Original uncleaned patina (see photos for details of wear on the reverse).
