Magnificent Vintage Minaudière in Solid Silver and Brocade Silk

  

I offer you a magnificent antique minaudière in solid silver and silk. The design of the clasp is very intricate and rich with decorative elements typical of the baroque style, which was very fashionable again at the end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth century. There is a hallmark and the mark of the German silversmith Mayer Martin, founded in 1838 and confiscated in 1938. The bag is made of hand-stitched brocade silk.

In very good overall condition, you can notice repairs to the fabric, especially on the inside, which is quite normal for an object that is 100 years old. The net weight of the solid silver clasp is 120 grams. The height of the minaudière is 16 cm, width 20 cm.

The length of the opening of the bag is approximately 15 cm. A very beautiful and elegant historical piece. The bag is padded for the photo.
