Ancient and authentic Roman fibula in solid silver, 1st - 3rd century AD. It represents a stylized Temple. Very beautiful realization, finely crafted and decorated. This fibula is not complete, the pin is missing, only the pin holder and the two ends where the pin was attached remain. Period: 1st - 3rd century AD. Dimensions: 3.4 cm in height - 2.2 cm in width. Provenance: Cyprus - private collection. The island of Cyprus was part of the Roman Empire from 58 BC. The Christianization of the Eastern Roman Empire transformed it into the Byzantine Empire to which the island continued to belong until 649 and from 965 to 1192.
