Antique superb round box in solid silver, richly decorated, Ottoman Empire, 19th-20th century

  
A very beautiful and substantial round solid silver box. The box is engraved on the top and sides. It is decorated with floral and animal motifs, including peacocks and intertwined large flowers.

The patina is pleasing to the eye and soft to the touch. The base bears silver hallmarks that are probably Egyptian, with Turkish influence deeply rooted in the region.
