Antique Swiss pocket watch from the late 19th / early 20th century - Functional - Needs servicing. This is an original Swiss pocket watch, dated from the late 19th century to early 20th century. It features a manual wind mechanical movement, which was running at the time of testing; however, a service is recommended given the age of the watch (cleaning and oiling advised for regular use).
The white enamel dial has black Arabic numerals and a small seconds hand at 6 o'clock. Please note: there is a small original flaw on the dial (minor chip and a fine hairline crack near the edge, visible in the photos). This is a common and typical defect on enameled watches from this era and does not affect readability. The case is made of solid silver and is richly decorated in the Art Nouveau style, with a blank central cartouche. The interior of the case is gilt and features fine, carefully executed engine-turned guilloché, demonstrating very high-quality craftsmanship.
The case bears the crab hallmark, which is the official French import mark for silver (minimum standard of 800/1000), along with the maker's mark FERI. The inner case displays fine and detailed engine-turned guilloché decoration, showcasing high-quality workmanship.
The crystal is missing (replacement required). The case is hinged, and it opens and closes correctly. This antique watch is sold as is, ideal for collectors, watch enthusiasts, or restoration projects.
