Small silver vodka cup from 19th century Russia (dated 1849), featuring a refined decoration of finely nielloed scrolls and foliage on a textured background. The interior is gilded (vermeil), offering a bright and elegant contrast. This type of cup, also known as a vodka cup or charka, showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of Russian silversmiths in the 19th century. Depiction of Saint George slaying the dragon (Moscow).

Marked with 84 zolotnik (equivalent to 875/1000). Silversmith's mark (partially worn and unreadable). Period: 19th century, dated 1849. Style: Traditional Russian silverware, nielloed floral decoration.

Creator: Unidentified Russian silversmith (mark unreadable). Material: Solid silver 84 zolotnik (875/1000), vermeil interior. Height: 5 cm (1.96 in). Width: 4.6 cm (1.81 in).

Base: 3.1 cm (1.22 in). Very good overall condition, with slight signs of use consistent with age, silversmith's mark partially erased.
