Magnificent, authentic Bedouin bangle bracelet in solid silver. Originating from Yemen and associated with Rashaida culture and the souk of Sana'a, this historic piece dates to the late 19th century. Entirely handcrafted and decorated using traditional ancestral techniques, it showcases superb rural silversmithing, with filigree, chasing, and granulation.
In keeping with the tribal jewelry traditions of the period, the bracelet bears no hallmarks, but it was certainly made from Western coins, ensuring a high silver content.
It is in excellent condition, with a beautiful patina from wear that adds depth and contrast to the patterns. The black oxidation in the recesses attests to the silver content, age, and authenticity of this piece of ethnic jewelry.
