Antique 19th Century Solid Silver Bracelet / Digne Star Pentacrine / St. Vincent
Ancient & Rare 19th century cuff bracelet in tested solid silver featuring pentacrine called the star of Digne or star of Saint Vincent. The jewelry is made from a star-shaped pentacrine fossil, black stone, or sea lily. A traditional piece from Digne considered to be a good luck charm. First created around 1850 by the jeweler Antoine Colomb from Digne. Not hallmarked but tested as Solid Silver.
Closure works and has a safety chain. Good condition, with signs of wear over time, 2 stars in good condition, 3 stars damaged, 5 stars repaired. Dimensions: 20 cm in length, approximately 1 cm in width.
